Collaborating asynchronously with Bench3D can help design engineering teams exchange feedback, track issues, and work on projects more efficiently.

With Bench3D's asynchronous collaboration features, teams can flag, review, and approve issues outside of traditional design review meetings. This takes pressure off design reviews and allows teams to move faster without sacrificing quality. Team members can provide feedback and resolve issues as they arise, leading to faster project completion and more successful outcomes.

In this guide, we'll explain the different use-cases for asynchronous collaboration and guide you through using some of the key features.

Use-Cases

Design Engineers

Asynchronous collaboration is helpful for design engineers who may have questions about a project. They can “@”-mention a colleague in the comment feature on an issue to ask their question, and any team member can respond when they have time.

Technical Advisors

For technical advisors, asynchronous collaboration is useful for checking in on how a project is going and providing feedback or assigning issues when it suits them.

Project Engineers

Project engineers can use asynchronous collaboration to assign tasks to the right people. This helps ensure that each team member is working on the most appropriate part of the project.

Overseas teams

If you collaborate with teams or people in other timezones, the async features can greatly improve communication and collaboration, as it allows each team member to work on their part of the project when it's convenient for them. No longer do team members need to be awake or available at the same time to make progress on a project.
